My Life By the Bay

Hi, I’m Beth.

I live in San Francisco, the fabled city by the bay…hence the catchy name for this blog. In my world, a great meal, ingredient, or recipe immediately becomes a story I share with friends and family. I’m that person who calls you from the grocery store because I’m way too excited about imported  paprika. I’m that coworker who drones on and on about an amazing Sunday brunch after you ask me how my weekend was. I live for farmer’s markets and small corner stores, and I’m constantly on the lookout for new recipes that highlight the epicurean bounty the Bay Area has to offer.

If eating and cooking are my top two hobbies, fitness probably finishes a close third.  Don’t hate me, but I actually like to exercise – and I give San Francisco a lot of credit for that. Who wouldn’t love to run, jump and play in a city with great views, beautiful parks and temperate weather?  My blog is primarily food driven, but also documents my passion for running, hiking, and other adventures that get me into the great outdoors.

Beyond eats and exercise, I love this guy:

And this guy ranks pretty high, too:

Thanks for taking time to learn more about me. I’m excited to share a slice of San Francisco with you.
