I love this blog — it’s interesting and so you!! I love the personal touch — I think you’re just sitting across the table shoving the cheese, crackers and wine glass in my direction. And, of course, I’m scarfing it up!
Today, was a good day…Corey brought us cranberry-lemon scones…Yummy. I would have loved one more I wanted to say thank you. I have never tasted a scone this good. You are the best.
Hey Beth! I’m wondering if you have tried making your own pasta, and if so, if you’ve had any luck? When we had a big snow the week before Xmas (24″ by our back door), I was stuck cooking whatever I could find in the house. I had a can of pumpkin leftover from some major pumpkin bread baking around Halloween, so I decided to make some pumpkin ravioli. I used my Joy of Cooking recipe for the extra-strong pasta, but their directions for rolling it out were not very helpful. The dough kept tearing. Finally I decided to roll back and forth really fast with the rolling pin, which was somewhat better, but still not thin enough. I did find that the dough was easier to work with after dinner (I had only used 1/4 of it) when I made up the rest to freeze for later. Maybe one day I’ll invest in a pasta machine, but until then, any suggestions? By the way, I hope you and Corey had a nice Christmas!
Beth — I found this website through your question in the Apple Discussion Forum regarding Safari . . . I hope you’ve been able to find the slight glitch for some of your visitors.
I’m lucky, and have zero problems . . . Your site is fabulous, and I’m going to subscribe. It is so professional looking, and your photography is stunning.
Keep up the wonderful site, Beth. It really gives us all a boost.
I’ve been reading your blog since I found it through Jenna at Eat, Live, Run and I have to say your meals look amazing all the time and your pictures are beautiful! I am vacationing in San Francisco coming up in May and was hoping you would have some advice on hotels to stay at. We’re only there for 2 nights and would love something smaller and comfortable. Also any restaurant and sightseeing information would be wonderful, although you have lots of great ideas up already! Thanks for any help you could give. And I will definitely keep reading!
I'm Beth. I'm a Midwestern-Southern hybrid who somehow landed in San Francisco. I'm eating, cooking and grocery shopping my way across this fair city...thanks for following my adventure!

Please make Appoatcakes!
Beth –
Do you take the photos yourself?
If so, you should go into the photography business. Really great!
Aw, thanks Bee! I do take all the photos myself. Good lighting goes a long way
